In 2008, Dominican American Junot Diaz won the Pulitzer Prize for The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, a hilarious, touching, electrifying novel. A collection of short stories, Drown (1996) preceded the novel, which was followed by another collection titled This is How You Lose Her (2012).
